Short Biography

Mehdi Taslimifar joined the interface group in April 2014 as a PhD student after graduating from Sharif University of Technology with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. His master thesis, carried out under the supervision of Profs. M.H Saidi, M.B. Shafii and H. Afshini, focused on the experimental investigation of heat transfer in open loop pulsating heat pipes using magnetic nano-fluids.

The topic of his doctoral research is the quantification of the kinetics of interacting amino acid transporters using system identification. Model data are obtained from Xenopus laevis oocyte expression systems. This PhD project is set within the framework of the SystemsX.ch IPhD program and co-supervised by Prof. François Verrey, University of Zurich, Institute of Physiology.
