Short Biography

Anett is a medical student at the University of Zurich who is currently in her last year of her soon to be completed Bachelor’s degree. Due to her strong interest in cardiology and nephrology, she decided to join the Interface Group for her Master’s thesis in December 2022, with a researched focused on cardio-renal (patho)physiology under the supervision of Ms. Yuansheng Zhang.

In her Master’s thesis, Anett investigates the predictive power of echocardiographic parameters for major cardiac events (MACE) after renal transplantation.

The goal is to use echocardiographic parameters to gain more information on the future MACE risk that the patients are eventually confronted with after the renal transplantation. With her thesis, she aims to achieve a more accurate and precise MACE risk evaluation, so that the preventive treatment for cardiovascular events after renal transplantation can be modified and improved in order to enhance the overall outcome and reduce the incidence of MACE in patients undergoing renal transplantation.
