Short Biography

Pooya joined The Interface Group as a Ph.D. student in October 2020 after graduating from the University of Tehran with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. For his master’s thesis, he worked on the non-deterministic simulation of cerebrospinal fluid flow in the cervical spine in collaboration with the University of Idaho.

Pooya’s doctoral research focuses on developing a model to predict immune cell movement and distribution in the central nervous system, which is essential for understanding neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory disorders caused by disturbances of the brain barriers.
