Short Biography
Diane de Zélicourt graduated with a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA, USA) in 2004 and an Engineering degree from the Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France) in 2005. Under the co-supervision of Professors Ajit Yoganathan and Fotis Sotiropoulos, she completed her doctorate at the Georgia Institute of Technology on the topic “Virtual surgical planning of the Fontan procedure” in 2010. Diane currently is the Junior Group leader of Cardiovascular and Systems Physiology within the Interface Group. Her primary research focus is on experimental and computational methods in biomechanics, and their application to understand disease mechanisms and improve device designs/surgical procedures. Specific areas of application include investigations of the cardio-renal coupling in health and disease, and cardiovascular devices or surgeries.
